ABOUT

I have a B.A. in literature and art history from Hofstra University but my most meaningful education the children taught me. I have experienced how magical and immersive pupils' storytelling in a foreign language in the classroom becomes. And I have heard how pupils' verbal expression of vivid  imagery radically transforms their spoken English ability.

Born in England, lived in the USA, I've been teaching EFL for 22 years.  I spent a lot of time searching for an exciting method that teaches children and adults how to speak English.  Unable to find a program that teaches spoken English with authentic results, I had to develop my own using the power of the imagination as a guiding principle.  Talk Up A Storm™ is the result of my creative collaboration with the children in the classroom.
